Symbiosis International University MBA Admission Process Overview
1. Register for SNAP
SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) is the mandatory entrance exam for admissions into all MBA programs at SIU’s constituent institutes. After SNAP registration, you must also register separately for your preferred institute(s) by paying the requisite program registration fee.
2. Take the SNAP Exam
SNAP typically takes place in December, with admit cards released a few days prior. For example, in 2024, tests were scheduled on December 8, 15, and 21, with SNAP results around early January.
3. Shortlisting for GE-PI / GE-PIWAT
Candidates are shortlisted for the next stage—the Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI), and sometimes a Written Ability Test (WAT)—based on their SNAP percentile.
You must participate in all components (GE, PI, WAT, where applicable) to qualify for the final merit list.
4. Final Merit List and Admission Offer
SIU institutes release their final merit lists based on a holistic evaluation:
SNAP Score (scaled, max 50 marks)
Group Exercise (10 marks)
Personal Interaction (40 marks)
Note: Some institutes also include WAT, with different weight distributions.
5. Confirm Admission
If selected, you must complete admission formalities by paying the program fees within the stipulated deadline to secure your seat.
