ICFAI Business School (IBS)

ICFAI Business School (IBS) is one of India’s leading private B-schools with 9 campuses. The MBA program is offered at Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, and Dehradun, while PGPM is available at other campuses. It follows a 100% case-based learning approach to build practical management skills.

Admissions are through IBSAT/CAT/GMAT/XAT/NMAT, followed by a micro-presentation and personal interview. Scholarships worth ₹2 lakh each are awarded to top IBSAT performers.

• IBSAT—the ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test—is the designated entrance exam for admissions into MBA, PGPM, and Ph.D. programs across the nine IBS campuses.
• The nine campuses include:
• MBA programs: IBS Hyderabad, IBS Bangalore, IBS Dehradun, IBS Jaipur
• PGPM programs: IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai, IBS Pune.

Exam Pattern & Syllabus

• Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes).
• Total Questions: 140 Multiple-Choice Questions (1 mark each), no negative marking.
• Section-wise Composition:
• Verbal Ability – 50 questions
• Reading Comprehension – 30 questions
• Quantitative Ability – 30 questions
• Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation – 30 questions.

Eligibility

• Educational Requirements: Graduate (any discipline) with a minimum of 50% aggregate; final-year students are also eligible, provided they conclude the degree by May 2025. Full enrolment documentation is needed by November 1, 2025.
• Alternate Exemptions: Valid CAT, GMAT, NMAT by GMAC™, or XAT scores (from 2023 onward) can substitute for IBSAT, though applicants must still register to be eligible and may qualify for a ₹2 lakh scholarship.

Selection Process

1. Qualifying Stage: IBSAT (or accepted alternative scores)
2. Selection Rounds: In February 2026, candidates undergo Micro Presentation and Personal Interview rounds
3. Final Selection: Based on performance in entrance score, presentation/interview, and academic record (Class X, XII, and graduation)
4. Selection Briefings: Held in various cities in January 2026 to guide shortlisted candidates
