SASTRA University (Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy) conducts a merit-based counseling process for admission to its B.Tech programs. The process ensures transparency and fairness, with admissions based on Class 12 marks and/or JEE Main scores.

Admission Process

  1. Eligibility:

    • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
    • JEE Main scores are considered for merit calculation (optional).
  2. Application Submission:

    • Applications can be submitted online via the official website or offline by obtaining forms from the campus.
    • Candidates must provide details of their Class 12 marks and JEE Main scores (if applicable).
  3. Merit List Generation:

    • 70% of Seats: Allocated based on Class 12 scores.
    • 30% of Seats: Allocated based on a combined score of JEE Main (75%) and Class 12 marks (25%).
    • A rank list is prepared accordingly.

Counseling Process

  1. Registration for Counseling:

    • Eligible candidates are invited for counseling based on their rank in the merit list.
  2. Counseling Call Letter:

    • Candidates receive a call letter specifying the counseling date, time, and venue.
  3. Seat Allotment:

    • Seats are allotted based on rank, preference of branch, and availability.
    • The allotment is conducted on-campus or through online counseling sessions.
  4. Document Verification:

    • Candidates must present the following documents:
      • 10th and 12th mark sheets
      • JEE Main scorecard (if applicable)
      • Transfer and conduct certificates
      • Identity proof (Aadhar or equivalent)
  5. Fee Payment:

    • After provisional seat allotment, candidates must pay the tuition fee to confirm their admission.
