Step 1: Registration

1. Login:
   • Visit the official JoSAA website.
   • Use your JEE Main/Advanced credentials to log in.

Step 2: Choice Filling

1. Select Institutes and Programs:
   • Based on your preferences, select programs and institutions.
   • Consider factors like branch, campus, and future aspirations.
2. Arrange in Order:
   • Prioritize your choices, as this sequence determines seat allocation.

Step 3: Locking Choices

1. Final Review:
   • Before locking, verify your choices for accuracy.
2. Lock Choices:
   • Once locked, choices cannot be modified.
   • Print a copy of the locked choices for reference.

Step 4: Seat Allotment

1. Rounds:
   • JoSAA conducts multiple rounds of seat allocation.
2. Allotment Based on Merit:
   • Allocation is done based on rank, category, and availability of seats.
3. Result Declaration:
   • Check the official portal for the allotment result.

Step 5: Accepting the Seat

1. Options:
   • Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and do not participate in further rounds.
   • Float: Accept the seat but remain open to higher preference in subsequent rounds.
   • Slide: Accept the seat and look for a better program in the same institute.
2. Document Upload:
   • Upload required documents for verification.

Step 6: Payment of Seat Acceptance Fee

1. Fee Payment:
   • Pay the seat acceptance fee via the online portal.
   • Fee varies by category.
2. Receipt:
   • Download and save the payment receipt.

Step 7: Document Verification

1. Online Verification:
   • Upload necessary documents (e.g., JEE rank card, mark sheets, category certificate, etc.).
   • JoSAA officials verify them online.
2. Issues?:
   • Address any discrepancies promptly.

Step 8: Reporting to Allotted Institute

1. Physical Reporting:
   • After the final seat allotment, report to the allotted institute.
2. Payment:
