BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) for admission to its integrated first-degree programs (like B.E., B.Pharm, and M.Sc.) at campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. The exam assesses candidates on subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology, English Proficiency, and Logical Reasoning.

BITSAT is a computer-based test held annually, and candidates can choose their preferred test slot. It follows a highly competitive format, with a challenging question pattern designed to evaluate both knowledge and time management skills. BITSAT  Counselling: Registration, Documents, Fees & Seat Allotment

The BITSAT  counseling process is an online, multi-step process for candidates who have passed the BITS Admission Test. Here’s an overview of the steps.

1. Online Registration and Application: Qualified candidates start by registering on the BITS admission portal, filling out personal and academic details, and submitting their Class 12 marks. They must also pay a non-refundable counseling fee of INR 1000 to confirm participation.

2. Choice Filling: Candidates specify their preferred courses and campuses (Pilani, Goa, or Hyderabad). Choices should be carefully made, as changes are generally not allowed after submission.

3. Seat Allotment and Iterations: BITS conducts seat allotment in multiple rounds, known as “iterations.” In each round, candidates may receive either a confirmed seat or a place on the waiting list based on their BITSAT scores and preferences. If seats remain available after each round, further iterations continue until all are filled.

4. Admission Fee Payment and Document Verification: Those assigned a seat in any round must pay the admission fee by the specified deadline and report to the assigned campus for document verification to secure their admission.

5. Direct Admission for Board Toppers: Top students from central and state boards are eligible for direct admission if they meet specific grade criteria, regardless of their BITSAT score .
