They participate in JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) Counseling along with IITs, NITs, and IIITs. 🎯 GFTI Seat Allotment & Counselling : Step-by-Step Procedure
The GFTI (Government Funded Technical Institutes) admission process is conducted through the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) Counseling based on JEE Main ranks. Here’s a complete step-by-step guide to help you navigate the process smoothly:
✅ Step 1: JoSAA Registration
- Visit JOSSA Website
- Complete registration using:
- JEE Main application number
- Password and security pin
- Fill in personal, academic, and category details accurately.
🕒 Important: JoSAA registration typically starts in June/July right after JEE Advanced results.
✅ Step 2: Choice Filling & Locking
- Select GFTIs, NITs, IIITs, IITs as per your preference.
- Important factors to consider:
- Branch preference
- GFTI location
- Last year’s cutoff trends
- Home State/Other State quota advantage
- Lock choices before the deadline. Choices once locked cannot be changed.
💡 Tip: Fill in the maximum possible choices to increase your selection chances.
✅ Step 3: Seat Allotment Rounds
- JoSAA conducts 6 rounds of seat allotment based on your rank and choices.
- After allotment, check your status and download the provisional allotment letter.
👉 Options after allotment:

✅ Step 4: Pay Seat Acceptance Fee
- General/EWS/OBC: ₹35,000
- SC/ST/PwD: ₹15,000
- Pay fee online to confirm your allotted seat.
✅ Step 5: Online Document Upload & Verification

- JEE Main 2025 Rank Card
- JEE Main Admit Card
- 10th & 12th Marksheet & Certificate
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile Certificate (if Home State quota)
- Passport-size photo
- Provisional Allotment Letter
